Alum Dr. Soares Hired at Federal University of Ouro Preto
Introduction
Dr. Ana Luiza Morais Soares (UIC Anthropology PhD in 2022) recently completed a postdoctoral position at Venderbilt University and has been hired as Assistant Professor in the Department of African, Afro-Brazilian, and Indigenous Studies at the Federal University of Ouro Preto in Brazil. Dr. Soares recently represented her new institution at the opening of the 1st Forum on Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations in Ponte Nova.
