Our very own Alize Arıcan, an editorial intern for the American Ethnologist Society (AES), interviewed Chloe Ahmann in a recent AE Interviews segment.  Chloe Ahmann, current Harper-Schmidt Fellow at University of Chicago and soon-to-be assistant professor of anthropology at Cornell University talked with Alize about her recent article in American Ethnologist, “Waste-to-Energy: Garbage Prospects and Subjunctive Politics in Late-Industrial Baltimore.

Their in-depth conversation explores the concept of subjunctive politics, the political potentials and pitfalls of risk, and productive tensions surrounding fieldwork. Visit the AES website for the full  transcript of the conversation.
