About
Kayli is studying Sociocultural Anthropology under the direction of Dr. Soledad Álvarez Velasco. Informed by critical migration and critical childhood studies, her research explores the experiences of Venezuelan migrant children growing up in transit. She focuses on how institutions (border regimes, schools, etc.) shape their experiences of prolonged displacement during formative years, and how they negotiate and resist these institutions to construct identity and belonging.
