About
I am a PhD student, and my research interests primarily involve utilizing bottom-up approaches to investigate how non-elites resisted and negotiated centralized power and social stratification in Europe from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age periods. Archaeological studies on societal complexity during these periods often emphasize elite populations and hierarchical systems, potentially dismissing the role of non-elites in societal development. I aim to demonstrate that these communities actively engaged with and adapted to emergent centralized powers, embodying a fluidity and complexity often overlooked.
