Second City Anthropology Conference
Saturday, March 5th 2016

The Second City Anthropology Conference provides students from all fields an opportunity to present their research in a professional forum. Graduate students give 15-minute talks in sessions that are organized thematically, and undergraduate students present their research in poster format. The event is designed to encourage scholarship and dialogue between students, faculty, and the public. Both the conference and the keynote lecture are free and open to the public.

The first Second City Anthropology Conference was organized in 2012 by the students of the UIC Graduate Anthropology and Geography Association and with assistance from the UIC Department of Anthropology. Generous financial support has been provided by multiple institutions at UIC and off-campus. Thank you to all of our generous supporters, who have helped to guarantee the success of this event!
