UIC Anthropology and Black Studies’ Dr. Mario LaMothe (Haiti) and his research interlocutor and collaborator Dr. Lena Blou (Guadeloupe) dialogue about the manners in which diasporic creativities and embodied practices in their respective homelands navigate the dispossessions and “chaos” of colonialism, enslavement, and their many afterlives—the practice of artfully living in a state of precarity.
