Meet the Anthropology Director of Undergraduate Studies
Our Director of Undergraduate Studies is Dr. Vincent LaMotta (pronouns: he/him/his), Associate Clinical Professor specializing in Southwestern archaeology at UIC. Dr. LaMotta, a certified “cat dad,” has been teaching at UIC for over a decade.

Meet the Anthropology Major/Minor Advisor
Our major/minor advisor is Hideaki (Hid-ee-ah-kee) Noguchi (pronouns: he/him/his), Senior Academic Advisor at UIC. Hideaki is a proud first-generation college student and earned his MS in Higher Education Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago, and BA in English from Northern Illinois University. He has been at UIC since 2016.
