About
I am a socio-cultural anthropologist interested in the questions of discrimination and violence in urban spaces, especially in South Asian cities. I have been studying the modalities of gatekeeping by dominant communities which create barriers to access for minorities navigating the housing market in Delhi. I want to explore the role of the State in sustaining and exacerbating these inequalities and ways in which this marginalization is contested and negotiated.
