Hi everyone! My name is Alexa and I have served on the LAS Advising team for 7 years. I was a general advisor until January 2025 when I transitioned to a position as a departmental/major advisor. I love my role as an advisor and helping students learn more about themselves through their education and relate their interests and passions to a major and career. I understand the unique demands on your time with work, school and home-life and strive to aid in finding a balance in pursuit of your goals. I want you to feel empowered, confident and supported in your journey at UIC!
Outside of advising, I love DIY home renovation, decorating, and creative projects. I enjoy outdoor adventures of any kind with my husband, two daughters and dog Buckeye. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you navigate your time at UIC!
