About
I am an anthropologist and evolutionary biologist studying pregnancy, maternal health, and human development from a life history perspective. I'm interested in how energetic experiences shape lifetime metabolic strategy, and in turn, how reproductive investment is mediated across environmental contexts. I am currently investigating intergenerational effects of past maternal experience on child development in diverse populations. I collaborate with Dr. Katie Starkweather, director of the Shodagor Longitudinal Health and Demography Project, on research related to reproductive ecology and population health.
